The Beams of Light residence, designed by Teng-Sheng Tsao, is a stunning example of modern interior design. With its organic atmosphere provided by wood and stone, the space exudes a restrained gentleness. The design of Beams of Light makes excellent use of the large space and window installations on nearly all sides. The open-plan layout ingeniously divides the common and private areas, creating a sense of order. Lattice elements and patterns at the entrance draw attention, while light-colored stone materials and moonlight landscaping add a touch of elegance.

Entering the extensive common space, one is led subconsciously by the single herringbone wooden flooring pattern. The long hallway divides the earth-toned dining area from the cool gray living room. All elements, including lines, patterns, stone vines, and textile textures, depict the diversity of gray.

The kitchen and dining area are designed with irregular lines of window lattices, introducing natural lighting and maintaining privacy from neighboring buildings. The brown colors create a gentle atmosphere, enhanced by a flower-shaped ceiling chandelier and symmetrical stone wall veins.

While the common area exudes grandeur, the private spaces are adorned with graceful wooden materials and abundant sunlight. Each room is customized with personality, striking a balance between relaxation and design. The result is a living environment that promotes tranquility and comfort.

The Beams of Light residence, completed in April 2021 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, is a testament to the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail. The elegant earth tones and cool gray palette, combined with diverse material textures, create a space that is both visually stunning and inviting.
